That might be the truth in 2009 when The S1000RR just came out. You will find in every Forum bad reputations about any brand of motorcycles. Just have a look in “our” own forum, starting with the C-ABS problem etc. etc. I had very bad experiences with a big Honda dealer, including Honda UK. At least BMW UK responded when I made a complaint, Honda UK did not. On the other hand, I have very good experience with Kawasaki and Aprilia especially with my dealer.
I think is like most things now you can always get a bad one....a friend of mine has one if the first s1000rr I think it's 5 yrs old now and 18k.miles he's had no major issues just the£850!service coming up although he said that once it 6yrs old just like there cars they do 20% off good and bad with every brand it's when it goes wrong and how it's dealt with that makes the difference although I wouldn't buy one I think the dealership feel is wooden like a Apple Store although most Honda showrooms aren't exactly exciting Ducati always look sharp especially alongside Dainse clothing...
P155 poor publicity for Honda no Matter how they spin it, fortunately no one was killed which is a serious possibility on that circuit.
Not on....it takes a lot to shake Guy up...sales will go down the pan....I know race bikes are a million mikes different however this one seams to have it in its DNA ....I wouldn't want one just on that ....I so glad ifs just his wrist could have been fatal....of course Honda are to blame...
Be interesting to see sales figures for the 2017 bikes. Makes a 2014+ bike with some mods like quickshifter and carbon wheels an interesting alternative Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk
Strange thing is I don't think I've ever hit a false neutral changing down, saying that I've never raced so I'm sure it is possible when things are going at that sort of pace.
More like post interview he's been told to remember who's paying the bills. It also made me wonder why they completely changed the electronics package too.
More like Honda esp Honda Racing should provide training course to every rider of how to shift gears properly, like push the damn lever all the way Wonder if Honda do their own gearbox for TT or they send it to company like Nova Racing. Jokes aside I think everything went sideway for Honda Racing since McG's crash, then Nicky, and now Guy; Honda's fault or not its like someone has some voodoo on them...
Guy will be contractually obliged to say what he's told and nothing more, he's being paid a lot of money to help develop the bike and speaking his mind is not part of the deal.
Or embarrassed that it might actually have been his fault but as he had already blamed the bike he didn't want to lose face. So in future when anyone crashes will it be the bikes fault ? or only if its a Honda SP2
The way he said a box full of neutrals suggests he tried more than one downshift without the bike engaging a gear though.
Unlikely, but it certainly opened the door to blame the bike for everything. With an inline 4 having little engine braking, why didn't Guy just brake harder when he couldn't find a gear ? it seemed quite a while before he hit the kerb, a rider with his talent should be able to react quick enough to a missed gear. Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of John and Guy i'm just keeping an open mind. if everytime someone crashed it was the bike at fault no one would be riding motorcycles.
