On my recent trip to Nice (via R.Nap)I did just under 2000 miles in 6 days, the most in 1 day was about 350-400 miles, I doubt if you could do a similar trip in less than 6 days.
The Blade was brilliant, just took it easyish, and stopped for coffee every 100 miles.

For a four day trip, Normandy is a fantastic area to explore, (stay in Honfluer) and visit Normandy beaches etc.

Belgium/Holland also easy riding distance, lots to see, great roads, Belgium cheap beer/smokes.

Brugge is great, and would take you about 1-1.5 hours from Calias, some great roads in the area. Amsterdam and surounding area's also worth a visit.

On a 4 day trip, spend the 1st day getting to the destination, 2nd/3rd day exploring the region, 4th day home.

I wasn't suggesting Reml visited my inlaws but he's more than welcome lol ! That's a just a route for me. I can be at the ring from home mid afternoon. Pleanty of time for an evening session which is the best time as it's not so busy.

The Ring is easily doable over a 4 day trip.

as I said i've done over 2k in 6 days and that was not that bad. 500 miles in a day on the bike is not bad. would leave Bristol early by 6AM. get the tunnel for 9 if I went that way.

the Ring does sound good and some cracking idea's. As my mate Denzil has joined and he's coming with me I better tel him about this idea now :)

I wasn't sugesting Matt visits your inlaws either. Just that I go on a lot of Forum and most people agree that 200miles a day is enough. Obviously Blade riders are made of stronger stuff than most and next time I'll keep my arthritic trap shut.:D

I know what you mean mate but 200 miles is done in 3 hours at good speed. covered over 100 in less than a hour when touring Spain ;) touring for me is up brekky then a few hours on the bike. lunch then a few more hours then arrive somewhere between 4-6 pm for a shower, food and few beers.

Yeah i try n ger oop once a year, know quite a few bikers oop in Glasgow who do some amazing rideouts evey weekend n some of the places you wudnt believe are right here in the uk.

I know you guys did a meetup last yr and some of the southern members did sum epic miles to ger oop, have a play for few days n ride back, so take me hat off to ou guys, but thats my kinda riding, used to do big miles on the R6 n tour everywhere so the Blade shud be more than capable of doing it.

Maybe we could have a forum ride down south next yr?? I do fancy riding down to the ace cafe and Brighton :D

IMO the ace cafe ain't worth the ride and the roads round it ain't fun :(

Brighton is cool but not really epic riding roads.... As its so busy. South east is a little land locked so wouldn't be any good for a number of days / tour!

I'd gladly take a few lads over the tunnel for a few days if folk wanted (Ring be obviously my 1st choice).... But think the West Country or Wales could be a good option!?

Don't be so harsh on yourself, the engine will cut out and fail to start way before your wrists start to give you bother ;)

We did a run to Sunny Devon to see The Earl of Exminster which was great with good weather but slightly under attended by the midlands or Southern crew ( just as well come to think about it) Ha ! Forgot about weekend ( just recovered) so this and Wales is defiantly an option .Is it Summer yet Dad?
