Not wishing to be a "Killjoy" but the only reason I would not buy a 954 is

Fantastic bike but to be honest I could,nt really tell that much difference to my 929 at the time.Yes it was lighter.............by something like 3kg..........Bhp............something like 3-5 higher,in my books just could not live with the thought of pending disaster just waiting to happen....................and knowing my luck it would happen!!

Just come back from the dealer, viewed a 954 and I've got to say it was a minter, absolutely stunning in every way, clean tidy doesn't look like its been ridden in the wet and even though it was highly polished you could tell it was a loved and looked after bike.

I was unable to test ride it because of a hand injury but I've got a problem with the dealer, or more importantly the guy I was dealing with. I've researched both the trade value of mine and the sale price on his, frankly both we're miles apart, it was black and white and he was completely unwilling to negotiate. I reckon the bike is about £300 over market value and he's undervaluing mine by the same, that's £600, I'm willing to meet somewhere in the middle, he's not. I've already been offered more money from we buy any bike and was offered more on a trade in 3 weeks ago.

Need to have a think about things now. I really want the bike but not paying over the odds for it!!

Dealers can be absolute knobs at times with trade in values. A Honda dealer offered me stupid money on my 10, bikes older with more miles and not as clean in his show room going for 1.5k more. Thinking of selling a car of mine, even worse as the idiot offered me 15k and openly admitted he'd out it on the forecourt for around 20k!

I get the mark up, but 5k is taking the piss. I'd suggest it's a buyers market, especially with bikes and the time I year. Can't you try selling yours private?

Was looking for an easy life to be honest, I've had the right price with other dealers but the bike wasn't right. This bike is right but wrong money and I know I could probably sell mine privately but I'm a bit impatient.
