Firm but fair mate; no rudeness from your part. I had a similar issue with a customer once who ghosted me then when I sent an invite to court replied telling me they would win etc etc. Took them in the end and got it sorted very very very quickly. Sometimes it’s the only way people know you’re serious. Fingers crossed they get it sorted asap
My joy with Hunts continues. I have just issued a letter of intent to pursue a County Court claim. If nothing else, this sets legal boundaries.
They will act pretty bloody quickly now mate. Especially as you have evidence, if they let it go to court the implications for them as a business will far outweigh the cost of the correct part - don’t forget if you do go down the court road to add your fees £105 to put the claim in iirc into the amount you’re claiming for.
I had similar issues with a local Aprilia dealer. As well as threatening court action I called the owner and told him I'd come down, stand outside and tell everyone what they had done. Got sorted the following day. Good luck.
Well would you believe, I got a message to say the part will be there tomorrow..... I'll keep you informed. Lesson for all is avoid Hunts like the plague....
You do need to keep an eye on these buggers. My bike was from Hunts and it wasn't right when it got delivered as per the thread below. https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/fuel-cap-not-centre.29194/page-2 But in the interest of balance, they put it right for me and put a brand new tank on. Sadly the quickest way to get these things sorted is put your issue on Twitter and tag in the dealer, Honda UK, MCN, etc etc.
And to finish off, we now have a replacement cowl. Deliveted this evening. So finally a resolution. Amazing what a Notice of Intent will do. O e really should not have to go this far. So the moral of this story is avoid Hunts at all costs.
Every time I fly Ryanair I always say "never again" and year after year I'm back on a Ryanair....if the price is right I'd buy from any dealer. They'll never go near the bike for work though.
someone that used to be on this forum did in fact take Hunts to court over a service issue. I say this just so our friends on here are aware of Hunts reluctance to put things right when they've cocked up.
