I will, he only has a 40D and kit EF-S lens so easy to make the move to Nikon or FF Canon (like he wants), the choice is his to make, like many I used both for a while (old Nikon FF) and found it hard to choose, in the end I moved up through Canon as I have always found myself buying them, no real reason tbh. Guess like you I find myself looking to the dark side now and then as the PR and Nikon fan base draw you in. My mate takes some great photos and I have told him to stop giving them away to mates etc, if they want them they should help him out by paying something towards his costs, then he can move forward into something he stands a good chance at making a living with.
All my film SLRs are Nikon. My FA and F3 are up in the loft. All my DSLRs have been Canon, simply because when I swapped from analogue to digital, Canon were streets ahead in the game. They're closer to parity again now but my flash gear and lenses owe me too much to swap back.
