Just reading the Churchill book from "Boris".......absolute corker of a read.....put it on your Xmas list fellas.
He did actually get down and dirty and took lives in WWI......

Was a pretty good brickie to boot.

Got to be Churchill for me as well

I've tried to contribute to this, honestly, but I can't reduce my patriotic list of heroes to a mere two. I get all the banker choices, Brunel, Churchill, Morecombe, Spike, Fry, Palin, Attenborough, Stirling, Fiennes, Joey, Barry, Arthur, Victoria and Dame Julie, Sir Bobby and, of course Jonny, and all the obvious others that I'll kick myself for remembering the minute I hit 'Post Quick Reply', I really do, I just can't pick just two.

It might just be the thing that makes the rest of the world hate us so much. We're just so spoiled for choice when it comes to top drawer geezers.

However, let's not forget this bloke...

22 ~ 0 against two of the greatest European teams of all time in a single match, plus he was the archetypical 'Lad'.

And he was cool enough to roll a six on my birthday, giving me an even bigger excuse to 'Tap the Admiral' every year.

I've even got a piece of his boat...
