Small suggestion on the route put up in post 1 - in Bala head north towards Trawsfynydd on the A4212 then down the A470 to Dolgellau to re-join the route, cracking bit of road and a Left hander that goes on forever![/QUOTE] Dont wont to butt in, being new an all, but ditto on this road. I was up fly fishing in the Beacon Fell area which would be say 15 mins were we met at the Marriott for the run with Fez and from the M55 junction to Lymm (In my van) would be about 45 mins so for the Blackpool gang i would say allow an Hour which seems extreem .You can then fill up at Lymm. For those ho have not visited the Truckstop before you come off the M6 and at the top of the sliproad go left (Or FOLLOW A TRUCK) and then right at the mini roundabout as you approach the signage and a little roundabout within the complex the trucks go left and we go second left into the carpark or right if you want to fuel up first .If you do follow the trucks left its ok just go right past the line of parked trucks and right back out of the truck section and dogleg into the car park. Although i have never seen a diesel spill around here ,it is a truckstop so be aware the roundabouts once we leave.

Exactly my thoughts Giv, I've said if we leave Blackpool after fuel for 7.15 we will be at J29 to meet Firebloke then a quick bumble to get to Lymm for 8.15. We can worry about fuel then before leaving Chester, have you been to Smiths before Giv? I've had a quick look on map and I think I can pretty well go to it now direct?

It was awesome Things like oil caps off a Suzuki fell off, a good few stops, bit of sunburn and good crack had be all. Using the drop off / marker system may help with a ride out of 10+ as we kept having 'who is missing now' - but cracking day A few folk have the 14 day wait to see if the prize winning envelope courtesy of North Wales Police arrives...

Had a great day, big thanks to everyone who turned up, bit of an early hiccup with the loss of an oil filler cap but everything got sorted, great weather great roads and great company, cheers guys.
Only got in about 15 minutes ago, as it turns out the scenic route is a long way back! Cracking day though guys, many thanks to Lee for setting it all in motion and it was great to meet you all. Looking forward to the next one.
