Cheers Arthur, yea that's the one I've got, I don't suppose it'll hurt if I connect it back up, its only a few plastic screws to undo then connect it to the pulley .

Connect it up mate , When i disconnected mine i felt no change in the bike , Just louder at stand still . When your going the flap would be open anyway so no difference . Your probably just wasting fuel ..

If you want a free mod to do then gut your intake flaps and do the tempory block to the pair system until you can get some block off plates to remove it completely

There are different views on this but IMO it's not worth doing on the 08+ bikes unless you need to make room in the fairing for HID ballast or something.

Yeah the reason I was looking at the akrapovic was because it keeps the flap and don't mess the fueling

The blades has a flatspot at 3 / 3.5 k to 4 k revs with the standard can and everybody reports that with a free flowing can the flat spot is resolved .

For me i noticed that in second and third the bike would rev then go of rolling , A bit of a hesitation type thing . When i fitted the first free flow can which also decat'd the bike , touch the throttle and it ripped my arms off , no flat spot at a all . Infact it was such a noticeable difference that i warned the buyer of the first can i had to be car full if its the first time he has removed the cat as there is a shed load more pull of the mark .

Is there a flat spot with the Akro and sports cat ? Or is it touch the throttle and hold on tight ? lol

Know exactly what you mean dan I didn't like that with the standard can either, I'm pleased to report its (nearly) all gone with the sports cat, just still slightly there, but I'm happy and the sound is just right. I certainly won't be buying another non cat pipe.

An air filter could possibly sort that out mate . FlatstickHRC who was a big modder and frequent poster here before his crash swears that the biggest difference he noticed in killing the flat spot was putting on a sensor eliminator . Dynojet do 1 for 20 odd quid but you gotta quote your PCV serial number

Ill give you my serial number if you ever decide to get 1 mate,

I know the feeling mate . This forum doesn't help , you see other peoples buys then you get ideas and before you know it there is 2 or 3 more items in the shopping list lol

Looking forward to Colins Guard as well . Anytime you want the serial mate send me a PM. They ask for it when ordering apparently

N.B. There's no point fitting an O2 sensor elim unless you have a power commander.
