When I first got my 2012 blade, I washed the clocks as I would've normally. But I did get lots of condensation. I now keep the washing water well away from the clocks and just wipe them now with the microfibre cloth. This seems to have cured the condensation issue for me.

I have read some bad stories about honda and there dealers but I have to so my one issue has been resolved on the very last day of warranty with no issues or arguments from Honda or the dealer , In fact I would go so far to say they were brilliant, Issue was diagnosed (Broken wire on the main harness) , the whole main harness replaced and the bike serviced in under 4 days with only the cost of the service (which was due anyway) I was well chuffed.

Not all dealers are alike. Plus 1 for Blade Honda, and Helen in the reading shop.

I use a bag and rubber band to cover the clocks when I wash mine just in case.

I had same problem on a 08 aprilia tuono, dealer offered replacement clocks under warranty but they would be 0 miles. Declined offer and fixed myself. Trying to sell on a bike that's had a clock change would be hard work.

Something similar happened a couple of times to my 2012 bike. It wasn't brown but looked viscous and was inside the display. It disappeared within a day and hasn't returned.....yet.....

I have not had an issue like this but when I wash my bike I always tuck in ( under the screen) and around the clocks inc the handle bars ( KillSwitch ) ect one of those car seat plastic valeting covers it fills the void and is of course flexible .I also use a surgical glove pulled over the exhaust end.I know the clocks and indicators / kill switch are waterproof or shower proof but to me why chance it .The answer to your question is speak to the service manager and request a change of unit under warranty of which the dealer would be paid to perform the exchange.

Mine too. I've got a 2010 model and I don't ride in the rain nor had I recently cleaned it and it's only happened once about a month ago.It had gone the next time I went out to take it for a ride a week or so later. Looked slightly more viscous than water and if you look closely now it has left a tidemark in the outline of the 'blob'. Very strange.
