Thanks all for compliments - at everyone junction yesterday I could see folk looking at the bike - but then it was / is spotless Need to talk to Quill - somehow one of the end caps is damaged - I supplied the cans to the dealer to fit and they were perfect, when workshop went to fit one was cracked / damaged - I am 99% sure I handed them over intact, but dealer says 'they were like that when we got them' - neither can prove other right, its annoying but not worth falling out with over it as it would just end up causing issues that neither side can prove so nobody wins. They are almost local to me so plan is to take can off and run it up to them.
Nice looking bike, I was considering one but chickened out and went for the blade, you won't get cold riding with those cans
I remember I was by the tyre shop when one of these came past on Akras. The sound! I thought we were being attacked. Beautiful noise. I've got two 'friends' (can't get too close. They ride Yamahas) with these. They think they're great bikes but say they're thirsty.
They are thirsty without a doubt - but then so is a Ducati or other exotic bike - it just goes differently to an in-line 4 - can't explain it, has to be experienced.
Thirsty? or not, at the end of the day its down to the smiles per miles. just hope i dont get stuck behind the petrol tanker
Looks like I did get quite a bargain - this is from the same supplying dealer YAMAHA YZF 1000 cc TECH 3 CAL CRUTCHLOW 35 I paid just over £9k for mine with 0 miles on the clock as second owner - both same model year and 2012 registered.
