Another New Lid

I find Esso pumps ask me to remove my lid near me – and if I am desperate for fuel I do and one the pump starts I pop it back on..!

Otherwise never had issues at BP or Tesco pumps..

My new XR1100 also arrived this week. I got a bin end on this old graphic - which I really like :



I've been wearing either Shoei or Arai for 20 years. First impressions are that it's as well made as you'd expect from Shoei, pretty quiet below about 80 and very effective venting, when all open. I went for a mostly white lid this time as I'm sick of getting my head boiled in black lids in the sun in the Summer. Changed from a QWEST that I dropped a few times including in a crash. They aren't radically different but I'd say that the XR1100 feels snugger than the QWEST did when new - even though they are nominally the same size. The styling is a bit sportier too.
