They do look tasty and at that price, it must be worth a punt. To try to help with import tax and all that nonsense, see if they can mark the item up as a gift. Keep us posted.

I managed to make my own cover bracket out of 2 pieces of carbon fibre riveted together at an angle and a spacer behind the bolt holding it on.

Regarding the g-craft replica reservoir from superbikesupply.com, got following reply:

Why the price-hike? Surely shipping from USA to England, for something the size of a fag packet and weighing about the same, shouldnt be much at all... or am I being naive?

At that price you would be better off getting the one over here

Took my pegs off today, cable tied the heat shield :D only until I make a bracket up. I have left the res floating in mid air for now until I purchase a new one or bodge something

That is nuts! Ihave just weighed something which I would imagine to be a similar weight and worked out the postage and it is about £15. I have a friend who lives in LA, so I can ask the redneck shop to send to him and then him send them on to the UK.

Whats to stop you using the master cylinder and res from an RR8, could be worth checking dimensions.

So you can just shorten the existing pipe?
Is there a limit to how short?
I thought about it but was unsure and being brakes I didnt want to mess

as short as you want, the res hasnt got much weight so it
wont come off but you can use a hose clip,
I never bothered just like a few other rr5 riders I know
and we never had any problems. think my hose was about 3".
will try to dig out some pics for you

not the best pic but you can make out the top of the res from
    this angle

from the side you can see it is slightly above the top of the heel plate.
