Didnt have any metal handy, it is/was a microwave safe plate lol so must be heat resitant just not sure how much? Do you reckon I will get away with it?
yup, I used an L bracket then flattened it and cut it to shape one like this MZF-8508 L-Bracket. Large - 123240 or buy a pre made one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CBR1000RR...23?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3a7784018f
Get yourself a nice ally sheet, much cheaper than a pre made bracket and you'll have some spare for other jobs too. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=290527565083&index=11&nav=SEARCH&nid=28474695249
I'm resurrecting an old hread here, but I just found out about this new type of rear brake reservoir (new to me anyway). It's a pipe that holds the fluid above the brake servo. What do you reckon? Genuine HRC Rear Brake Reservoir Part 4 Parts Correct Kit Honda Racing Complete | eBay
A few bad reviews on them sweating but most people that have them say it's very minimal, they are not supposed to be for road use but not an mot failure, I will be getting one just not got round to it yet
Yep they sweat and go cloudy, they last about 3 months! Mine Brembo res pot, Gillies rear sets, a strip of carbon, plastic spacer, two washers, lock nut and Ti bolt...
Hi Ray I really like this set up. If you have time can you send me the info on what you have done, so i can shamelessly steal your idea?
Hi Ray, sorry I posted on Arthur's set up which I also like. Can you advise on what you used sources etc? Thanks mate, really neat solution.
Hi Mike, Thanks, I also have a Monster sock for it but I'm not sure if it would look right or not? Unfortunately I got my reservoir off of Bats, and he can't remember where he bought it. There are other companies that make the same style with a viewing window, but they are not cheap. Here is a GSG one: Brake Reservoirs Honda. Wild Hair Accessories. Thanks Ray. It's the gsg in black for me. Should look great. Thanks a million. First beer is on me......
there's a US guy on the TL planet forum doing G craft replicas, got mine from him really helpful and posted quick, was about half of superbike supply cost.
Very neat. Can I ask where you got that from mate. Reason I ask is I have a mate who is thinking of removing his pillion pegs, and was looking for something similar to what you have.
yeah no worries check out this link Billet Rear Brake Reservoir TLR TLS BUSA - TLPlanet Forums for the reservoir and just get the exhaust cover hanger off ebay
forgot to add it was little tight to the swingarm with the standard pegs so spaced them out a couple of mm, but fine with my gb moto rearsets
