@martinowen, As previously mentioned there are 4 down for July 3rd and 6 for Aug 21st, so as you're in the larger group it would make sense for you to organise that and get as big a discount as you can and we'll sort ourselves out. btw, do they offer AM and PM slots or is it just one group per day?
From the website- Using more powerful Honda CBR600RR machines complete with ABS we offer a more advanced session with longer track time than our On-Track experience complete with more intense instruction. This course gives a greater knowledge of machine and riding techniques, a detailed classroom debriefing, plus a more in depth introduction to the track and the bike. Your course begins at sign-on where, if required, we provide all the kit you need to safely ride at high speeds on track. This includes Arai helmets, leathers, boots and gloves. You then receive an in depth briefing in the classroom to describe the circuit and how best to approach your sessions including information about track position, the circuit line, vision gear changing, steering, braking and throttle usage. Your group will then head out onto the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit for three track sessions, with de-briefs between with the speed picking up through the course as your skills develop. Ultimately this half day course gives you more intense, personalised tuition compared with our introductory On-Track Experience and prepares you for our ultimate Elite Course should you wish to hone your skills further and progress to the awesome Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade complete with telemetry. Your course ends with a group debrief providing feedback from the notes made by your instructor and you receive a certificate to take home to show you successfully completed the course.
I think I can get us all discounts still, as far as I know there is just one slot each day unless you choose the 189quid starter pack on the 125's and 250's
Ah, ok. I read a write-up on another generic engine-lovers forum and that sort of implied there were both but not a problem if only have one per day. Carl and I will possibly change the date we're looking to do it as we've got a TD lined up in early Aug, so probably best to discount us from your totals.
All seems to be going a bit pair shaped guys, have I missed anyone? Is there people that would rather a different date? Will need to book and deposit slots soon as the spaces seem to fill quick so is there anyone else? 3rd July Bob Jokeshopbeard 21 August Martinowen navvy10 navvy10 bro (tbc) Jamiehrc (provisional due to work) Spence (Navvy10 friend) Stefan (Navvy10 friend)
Im in like flynn too, dependent on the final cost and days. I work abroad, so I am basically home most of July and beginning of August. Dont pick my first Blade up until week beginning 8th July Just seen dates, have to count me out then guys soz. If anyone does another one later in July, let me know.
Not sure if I've come in too late looking at the date of this this thread. i would def be interested in 21 August on the premier course if you haven't already booked.
Forgot to add - earlier in the year to fill places they were doing the premier course (CBR600RR) for £250, so would think you would get at least that price for a group booking.
It may still go ahead, I think people started to loose interest a bit but I will keep you informed I think they sell them cheaper at the beginning and end of year as not as popular
