Their first offer was £2.95 for every one of the 134 miles I did on it. I settled on half that. The fault wasn't diagnosed, or at least revealed to me. The suggestion was that the oil filler cap was loose. I couldn't be bothered to haggle over the rest as I didn't want it dragging on and all the good biking weather disappearing. If the hike is returned under distance selling regulations then a charge for excess miles is allowed, although the distance and fee per mile weren't specified in their terms and conditions.
Glad you got it sorted, fully understand your logic of taking a small quick hit in order to move on. Hope the new bike is sorted quick.

Man that is shit luck about the RSV4 @dgr I have had my Tuono V4F since new. Bought it from wheels back in September 2020. It's now going to my local dealer for an oil leak. Long story short but apparently it's a known issue as the cam tower o rings fail which then let's oil leak down into the spark plug cavity which then leaks out the weep holes on the side of the engine. Its still under warranty so am hopeful of a quick turn around but know Aprilia it won't be.
I feel your pain. Good luck. The RSV4 is back with the dealer now and I'm back on a Blade. A 2020 RR-R SP that only had 329 miles on it.
Holy crap !!! I had issues with my new Gen 4 BMW...... Hence why I have the New blade now ..... Should of never traded my 2011 blade !!! Stick with what you know along with reliability!!
I tried a friend's Gen 4 S1000RR M Sport but didn't like it. Undoubtedly quick, but boring, and the bars vibrate pretty badly. Build quality is questionable too. The RR-R is much more exciting, with the added bonus that it doesn't feel like it is going to burst into flames when sitting in traffic.
Yeah my M Sport was quick, but jesus it got hot quick..... Sounded noisy compared to the blade..... The blade is a much better bike In my opinion.... 100%
The beauty of sitting on a bike that feels like its going to burst into flames while sat in traffic.................it makes you not sit in traffic and get fecking moving !!!! Glad you're all sorted
