I use the Dainese Wave Air - Dainese - WAVE AIR - Motorbike - Gran Bretagna - Inglese Slid down Snetty last week on my back at 80mph and barely a bruise to show for it. Fits nice under my tight leathers and don't get sweaty wearing it at all
I have a medium Forcefield Pro Level B2 Back Protector for sale, open to sensible offers. It's been worn but has never been down the road, and straps etc are in really good nick.
I think I am going to try the Knox Aegis out, so will give flea bay a try. Thanks to everyone for your comments, they were very helpful.
Wore the Knox Aegis for the first time today ( £42 from Ebay and in immaculate condition). Very pleased with the fit and comfort, after 10 minutes of riding I almost forgot it was on. Although I know it will sound a bit daft, I felt more protected with it on. It is my first back protector, so I have nothing to compare it with apart from those worn inside jackets, so far I am very impressed, just hope I never have to test it fully. Thanks again to everyone who posted on this thread.
I have one of those too (8 plate) and its a great back protector. Much better than any inserts I've seen and it won't move if the jacket slips round during an off. I also wear it when Karting as I'm only wee and the foam seat inserts at kart tracks are poop
