Keep up the good work mate, something I’ve toyed with doing in the past but I don’t think I could handle it mentally

    Thanks Golfy,
It's not for everyone, I was born into the family business but it wasn't for me at the time. After college I was in the printing industry for 17 years, apprenticeship the lot. Didn't get so much as a pat on the back in my last day of service. In this line of work you get a lot of nice comments and gratitude...... There's not many jobs you can do where you get a thank you card at the end of it. It's very rewarding...... Providing you get it right. :)

Hmm, well I sort of bought the Street Triple 3 days before lockdown so that I could get it sorted, home and possibly some miles on the clock. After haggling I think I paid about £10kish. The impending lockdown as well as the deal on the table sort of twisted my arm. :D

I then bought a new helmet because I wasn't keen on the X-Lite 803 chin redesign. So I bought the 903 with race visor for about £400.

Single sided paddock stand and cover were about £120, tank pad, stomp grips, rad/oil cover were about £130 (I think).

Summer jacket + armour about £230.

Battery charger for the cars (Amazon special) £35. Tools about £100.

Summer house hasn't quite had the button pressed, the Mrs is sorting that out this week and the hot tub can f*ck off for now as, I'm not spending a few grand trying to find one in stock or a scanky used one for twice the rrp.

There are many takeaway deliveries in there too. Got to keep local businesses going. ;)

I have the pleasure of the car service a week Friday and paying the government nearly £500 in car tax on the 1st.

There's probably other stuff in there too, but I'm sure they were all essential items. :D

Seems like I either got off lightly or just havent spent enough.
Even with ,what appear to be 'rash impulsive' purchases our bank balance is looking remarkably healthy. Now that's not to pee peeps off who are struggling as I really do feel for you. I have been VERY fortunate as both the wife and I can both work from home and both our incomes have been left unscathed for now but it has made me realise how much we must be spending on crap when out and about all the time. At first I thought all we were saving was petrol monies but obviously not as I've been able to salt away into savings a lot more than just petrol money.
So just where has it all been going all these years?

Although I've been tempted to buy a few things. Second lid (I don't want to take my Nicky Hayden rep) for a bike holiday (that won't be happening now) and possibly some fancy levers. but, so far I've spent nowt. Good yorkshireman.

The most expensive and annoying thing I have bought is 6 solid oak doors and all the hardware etc. Annoying because they arent bike related, the fitter cant work because of covid and they have to be stored lay flat so take up the majority of a room!

I've not done too bad with the bike! Quickshifter, oil and filter etc. Cover which might turn up at some point if Royal Mail sort their shit?

The need to spend has descended upon me once more.
My go to summer gloves have mainly been dainese but I'm thinking do I really need to be spending £200+ on a pair of gloves?
I've been looking at the RST tractec evo r as I have been so impressed with a new RST pair I bought from them for autumn / spring riding.
They seem to get very strong reviews for the money £80ish
Anyone got them or had them before I order?

These are the same model mate, these are 7 months old with about 6k miles on them and still in very good condition.I went from 200 quid alpinestars to these and think they are all day comfortable and great value.
The only gripe I have is the Velcro isn’t as good now compared with more mileage and a lot older astar gloves.
Would I buy them again? Yes, for the money you can’t go wrong

I have RST tracktec gloves, they are excellent. 2.5 sets for the price of a £200 set is a no brainer.

Gents that's all I needed to spend a few more quid.
Your confirming the many reviews I've read so I'm going to give them a go.
    Thanks for your feedback :)
