Sort of made up my mind to go for a 2013 Repsol Abs at £11399 at a Honda dealer but they would only offer £5500 for my 2011 black blade fitted with akrapovic, cowl, higher screen and with 6000 miles on the clock saying it is now two years old and will need the next service and a new rear tyre and no interest free credit! On the New bike. I don't think so.

New one is pretty much old plus 10 - 15 more hp, few style tweaks

If you re geared a 2012 to max out at 160 it would feel incredibly rapid - not many times you go above that

We have a conservatory and that is exactly what mine would look like in ours. But for some odd reason the Mrs insists the Blade stays in the garage ! :)

Mine is normally in the garage but I managed to keep it in the conservatory for a couple of days in the spring when all the garage was needed for another project. .. I think I feel another longer project coming on! ;)

I looked at all of the deals offered in the press when I bought my 12 Blade
Best deal was found at my small local dealer
They have given me discount on everything I have purchased since
Even got me some Kriega even though they are not a recognised stockist!
Pays to shop local in my opinion, or least give them the opportunity

I got £7k back for my 2010, and that was it returned to standard and with 9,000 miles on it when I traded in for my new one.
They have my old one up for sale at £7,249 so they are not looking to make much back on it.

Well for some reason today I did the deal, letting my black 2011 blade go in exchange for a hrc 2012 complete with a matching helmet, when I get itchy feet it's difficult to stop till the itch is taken care off.

Chosen a local dealer and paid for maintenance as well.

This time I have no abs so I hope I don't have any worries about the brakes this time. IMG_20130825_195401.jpg

When I got my new Blade last year
I found the best deal I could, took the details to my local dealer and they beat it!
Try and shop local where I can.
Seems unfair that local shops and dealers can be used for trying on leathers and helmets etc only for the customer to then shop the world on the net?
Use local where I can on the "use them or lose them" principle

As the owner of a small post office I can relate to the shop local and " use it or lose it" principle

Spot on mate. When I bought the blade, I just said to my local dealer, this is the best offer I've had, match it and ill buy off you. He did and then looked after me for sevices and continues to sort us out.

    Works both ways IMO.

You never left your Yoshi on it when you sold it did you !!

Could have fitted that straight onto the new one.

Well its a Akro for a abs and the New bike is non abs and we were unable to get the oxygen sensor of it had seized. So I left it on and they gave me an extra £150.00 for the bike.
