Great pics, whether looks great too. The northern lot are off to the Picos I think now, they were in San Sebastian last night and guessing Potes for Saturday night.
Thanks Al, I've been lucky with the weather so far but have a feeling I will pay for it at some point. Maybe the four bikes I saw yesterday near Sort were not from here if they were in SB last night. Am starting to head west myself now. Weather still perfect as well..
Bart Nice photo's mate. You're in my local stomping ground. The Col de Bollox is on one of my usual rides! Some view from the top eh!? Not bad roads round there are they! Enjoy! Mike
Mike, you are one very very lucky dude to live around there, I don't know of anywhere in the world that would be better. Thanx Frost1, I am tryin to enjoy it but it is such hard work sometimes.
My posh French dinner from the other night Today The road went along the valley floor Then up the mountain with long long fast sweepers This road on the map looked like nothing special but then went into a gorge View from tonights hotel
Hi Al, Was just north of Ainsa last night, was a bit damp this mornin and there were soooooooooooooo many tourtec tonka toys out on the road, often treating the road as their own one way system so I bailed early and did this in Jaca. Tapas and MotoGP in Spain...... Just got in from dinner with three Brits, woops, two Brits and a Scot, all on KTM's two of which have had issues over the last week. My Blade has been just perfect, ride, refuel and ride again....well done Honda. Only a few more days left now, good job as front tyre is a bit iffy.
Thanks for ruining tonight's highlights, much appreciated! Can a mod please delete the name before it ruins someone else's show tonight.
Back in the saddle for a long one today as tomorrow is really just a transit day to the ferry. Went west from Jaca and then north over the mountains for a cafe au lait Spain France, saw this photo years ago and went to do it but weather did not play ball, today was just perfect looking east south west Lookin back to where we just were (I think) My office for the last week or so Today was about 200 miles but a lot was slow due to alllll the bends and speed was low, this shows the ave mpg for the first 80 miles Yes 59mpg, should I be embarrassed ??
You will be on the same ferry I am sure as the 4 amigos - look out for them in the ferry line up - be good for you to swap stories and share a beer or 4 on the boat back Honda TT legends Blade, BMW S1000rr Repsol Blade Blade Blade Be good to see on a map where those pics were taken / the routes etc. when you get back. Not surprised at 59mpg - I have had some mega MPG in the past when away, so has a mate on his S1000rr - he thinks the petrol is different as little else to explain it lol
Will keep an eye out for the four Amigo's Al. As said am really not sure if that mpg is embarressing or what, once had 60 in Portugal on similar type of stuff, glad someone else has had similar figures. Will try and do a route thing at some point. One last thing: Fitting some slightly higher bars ( Gilles Vario) has made soooooo much difference on this trip, I finally feel like I have gelled with this Blade after 2 1/2 years, but it was a hard act for it to follow after having the RXX since God was a boy.
Had a great last day running to the port, did a loop slightly in land and the N623 into Santander We took ages to load, over 150 bikes and only half a dozen sports bikes, how times change. Santander is beautiful looking port and better at night Meet the four Northern Amigo's on the ferry for a pint, cheers guys. Back in Blighty now near Plymouth and will trek home tomorrow.
