I paid £10k new for my 2015 HRC. From what I'm reading and hearing at the moment I can't justify a £5k price hike for the new bike; I'd need revolution rather than an evolution for the money. If this was the supposedly affordable upcoming V4, even if it was at SP money, I'd be seriously considering it. If the Blade doesn't sell it does make me wonder if the V4 will ever see daylight, even as a limited run.
It isn't just Honda not selling sports bikes our local BMW dealership sold 6 s1000rr bike last year. My local Yamaha dealership stopped selling bikes last year they had been selling bikes for 50 odd years , changing times I am afraid.
My local dealer have sold 2 standard Blades in red. however they sold tonnes of Africa Twins, CB's, Crossrunners and learner bikes
Bikes are no longer used by the masses as there main mode of transport like there were years ago! Granted a lot of people still commute on them but most bikes now are people's second mode of transport more for fun/travelling and £15-20k is a lot when you consider you can buy a decent family car for that money
The dealer near me said yesterday Honda have been caught with there pants down hyped the bike up but now can't supply the bike he said he will be lucky to get one sp1 before xmas, but he has had lots of calls with people wanted one. They can get one standard Matt black bike then that's it till late summer
Isn't it that some dealers that have been caught with their pants down. I thought it was up to the dealer to speculate how many they thought they could sell and pre order accordingly. Then all the other dealers try to cash in on that dealer's bravery by whinging to Honda that dealer A won't let dealer B have a bike that dealer B has got a buyer for. Tough.
I was in Loyd honda the other day and they were saying something like 2 sp's and 4 or 5 normal ones thats good numbers to me considering the price
