Can anyone recommend a really nice Lodge park or similar down there Poole area? or within say an hour of that area? I'm thinking of maybe coming down for the week & having a blast of the south coast as well. I'll check the brochures but recommendations would be good, looking for secure bike parking etc
Stayed at a Premier Inn in Poole last year. Bit industrial but rooms were OK and there was plenty of parking. Premier Inn Poole North Hotel
Oh good good, this is looking like a lovely turn out ! Let the invasion begin I'll stick the name list up on the first thread and if enough of us going ill have a chat with dobles and see if we can get our own section reserved to park up in with a 1000rr.co.uk banner (not that we'll steal the Fireblade owners club's thunder or anything) !
You might even want to look around the New Forest area as loads of nice places around there and then you're in the heart of some good riding !
Lodge Park is that like a holiday park ? There is a nice one in the New Forest...."Sandy Balls" (yes, really) Had family that stayed there and I know that area of the Forest well. Some great riding once you get out onto the bigger roads (not the 40 mph stuff) I wouldn't stay in Poole. But get the car ferry over from Sandbanks, onto the Jurassic coast stuff, on towards Bridport etc Then come back inland, Sherborne, Blandford, Salisbury etc. Loads of choice. But busy at the weekends, worse if it's sunny !
