Well chaps i did it :victory: Right basically not to hard to do no special tools or bleeding routine needed! just old school mechanics! Undo all flexy hoses one at a time from metal brake pipes and use a blanker! (a brake union with squashed pipe make you own!) then remove all pipes! fit braided lines rear is easy original brackets etc bar the highest line needs a longer bolt and nut to secure box section! Then onto frt again not to bad top line to master has a weird bend no matter what you do! remove box section braket drill hole for longer bolt to pass though. make a sapcer for o/s/f pipe and secure use all orignal brackets and rubbers off old pipes! Then onto bleeding basically start on the rear bleed at metal unions first then rear caliper you should have a pedal I DID! onto frts start at master then metal unions then o/s/f then n/s/f you should have a lever apply presseure and check all connections! HAPPY DAYS :Banane09: O it took me say 2.5 hours while drinking stella and thinking but bear in mind i am 18 years as a car mechanic and 8 years fixing bike s for extra money O excuse my stella fueled writing haha!!
Good to know I was not sure if the abs motor needed to be turned on to bleed through. Just bled like normal then
yep just straight forward as norm bleeding!! I did try bleed at the pump and splitter box under petrol tank with ignition on and off but nothing so i am guessing they plug a machine in to open spool valves in pump??!?!?
beginner hi guys, i just found out that R&G also sells brake lines for ABS which is way cheaper... should i go for it? for rear lines its £24.99 ( 1 hose) front lines £49.99 (4 hoses) is it enough?
did you get any replies to this ? ive seen the same kit and wanted to know if its any good and how difficult it is to fit ?
