I know chippy quite well, it's an odd area for a break in for that age and type of bike. Are you still thames Valley Police there? (I have contacts) I really hope it turns up, did they locate / find an ignition key? The hiss system is very good (trust me) and that bike won't start without the key or a replacement ecu and lock set.
Trying to think about this, who knew it was in your garage? Esp those who knew that also have method to dispose / strip it down. I guess Banbury is nearest town. You must have been seen with it on driveway, or dealer or somebody has given a tip off. I put a £350 cctv system in at my house, loads of folk question me why I did it, but I know it will be worth it.
Bit more info here: My motorcycle was stolen yesterday 17th October 2014 from Chipping Norton Oxfordshire Between the hours of midnight and 6am, it is a BRAND NEW HONDA HRC BLADE (1000CC) it was in a locked garage, the bike was not locked to anything inside the garage though. The registration plate of my bike is VE14 CMU It has an R&G tail tidy and a Honda Double Bubble Screen. The bike is data tagged so any parts are pretty much useless. (POST RECREATED 19TH OCTOBER 2014) Police have been contacted, if you see my bike or know of any info on it please contact me in any way or form my number is (number removed for privacy - can provide if needed) Or can you call 101 Crime reference number is 43140218534. PLEASE SHARE!!!!!
Image taken from Facebook thread about this theft - hope OK but can only help Did they get the keys (important to know as it will need many parts inc. ECU and lockset to ride it , and not many 14 year with the stubby key about I guess
seems to be lot of 14 plates going missing maybe followed home people getting acess to customers details at dealers ???? hope if you dont get back insurance play ball.....will keep a look out
The amount of Blades stolen in London, including mine, seems to mean that the scrotes are not too fussed about the HISS system, alarms or tagging, most of them are in bits within a couple of hours. Plus the boys in blue see it as a victimless crime, so it's filed somewhere a fair way below dog fouling in the park, or dropping litter. Hope you get some good news mate, it's a sick feeling I know.
No... They fine people £80 for dropping litter... They barely managed to send a letter saying they couldn't be arsed when my 600RR got kicked in London... H
It's the same in Australia, when I had my 04 that was two years old at the time it was just a phone in report. They never bothered to come out to view anything.
Funny that Kiwi, when my Blade got nicked in 2012, the private militia that goes by the name of City of London Police, sent me more letters asking about my experience of their handling of the non investigation into the theft, attempting to get me to tick boxes to rate their performance. Feck me, having your pride and joy nicked, is not exactly an 'experience' like a Tripadvisor review of a holiday, but that's the way they act. Typical Old Bill, they are just another failed institution driven by tick boxes to meet so called targets of service. When I actually wrote to the Commissioner to tell him what a sh*t inefficient bunch of cowboys he was presiding over, the tick box forms stopped arriving, and he is obviously illiterate, as either he was unable to read or unable to write to be able to respond. No wonder the word Force has been replaced by service....even that may contravene the Trades Description Act.
To be fair matey, as most of you are descended from a bunch of British convicts, I guess they have their hands full with real crime
Seems to me the Police Force are making these thefts low priority which will eventually become a society run by anarchy. Its a shame cos we pay the police to protect and serve us through our poll tax.Which we work for. On the other foot I deal in second hand bicycles.I got an email stating the unlawful markets office is to close. All officers within that office are now assigned to other tasks within Kent Police. So all bikes I buy in are now subject to "PLEASE YOURSELF". Take the id etc etc and hope it ain't knicked. No more emails of recent bike thefts to look for. Plain Fecking wrong!!
Any updates on this - I guess parts will surface but its where - there can't be many 14 plate bikes up for being stripped yet
