I've got a little video of me on my 5-Axis machine milling out a scaled model of a lotus Elise from solid billet. I'll try and get it loaded up tonight.
Those are the one's Daz but they are from Italy so if anything goes wrong or you require a return it's more myther. This link although more expensive is from a UK supplier which for me is more preferable. BREMBO HPK M4 MONOBLOCK RADIAL FORGED FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS | eBay
Those M4's are a snip if they're under £500. Don't forget, they come with NEW pads...which are the best part of £100. So a good deal really. I'd buy some myself, but I already have the 4 pad brembos on mine, with the same piston dia. So no gain really. Gotta keep scourning ebay
If those are on ebay does it not cost them 10% in fees ? Just thinking would they sell them cheaper off ebay or on a group buy ?
ian i am ordering a set on monday do u want me to see what he can do 2 for pm me with your tel number
I NEED a set of these but I don't think I couldn't stomach having to change my pads up to 3 times a year!. It's kinda the same as printers, sell em 'cheap' but charge a load on consumables. Anyone got experiences of fitting them to an ABS?, I got a niggling feeling ABS power valves are optimised to the OEM set up so the size increase of pistons may 'confuse' the ECU
I do track it (only a couple a year) but I also do up 18k per annum on my commute. The slightly binding pads and slightly warped discs don't help. Therefore the calipers and discs must be replaced with Italian exotica. To the Mrs this is essential maintenance to ensure my safety
asked him about buying several he will only knock a tenner off as they are rock bottom anyway.ordered mine he says he can supply hose and clips for oe resevoir as oe hose is bigger diameter
Unless I'm mistaken that makes you a pioneer in that upgrade to an ABS, be very interested to see how you find them. I'll probably decide to buy when the prices goes up!
If he will do a deal on a group buy and knock a £10 off then I'm in.. Maybe get a list going of who's interested so that we can let him know the numbers.
They should be here come Tuesday. It'll be interesting to see how they perform. I'm not looking forward to fitting the new lines and bleeding the system though. I know that is going to be a whole world of pain
You could then buy now and then even if they don't work out to be what you think, then once the price goes back up sell them for price paid
Noob question regarding pads. As said, genuine Brembo M4 pads are about 100 sheets. I can no way justify this additional expense especially with the miles I do. I'm probably mistaken but some manufacturers use M4 OEM therefore can you not use say EBC HHs such as: EBC/FA447HH Sintered Brake Pads Front - KTM RC8, RC8R, 990 SM-R / MV F4, Brutale | eBay Sorry if it's a dumb question
