Yes, several times. I'm more and more convinced that the TPS is faulty. Hopefully the next time is goes in to a dealer an error code will show up on the diagnostics.
If anyone is interested, my bike is no longer broken. There is no conclusive answer as to what went wrong unfortunately. A proper full reset of the ecu and tightening the left hand throttle body mount that was found to be a little slack appears to have done the trick. Great service by Vertu Honda in Grantham. They were very thorough and a pleasure to deal with.
As mentioned air leaks on the inlet cause high tick over, I would say some pipework has not been re fitted correctly
