Sorry about that Si. We got burnt trying to help you guys out.

Just wanted to reply to this thread as I found it when I did a search for anyone posting about Carbon4U.

I'm Bel on the forums or Jac from Carbon4U, we specialise in Triumph model's but have access to carbon for other makes/models. We tried to help out Si and his friend with the parts but I'm sad to say whoever gave the OEM parts in to create the mould didn't supply the right information for which make/model the part fits. They do it so other people that order from the catalogue gets burnt (as only they know the right information). I do the same at time, give only the basic information as I know which model it fits and don't want others to get hold of parts I had to buy to get moulded.

I understand why they did this but it made for bad PR for C4U, we haven't offered anybody else any non-Triumph parts after this experience and pass them onto zero-limits (if you have a look and contact Paul say that Jac from Carbon4U sent you his way) rather than try and sell something we didn't get moulded and testfitted ourselves (as we do with all our Triumph carbon parts).

I just wanted to mention something else that was posted up as well about holes and fitting. Carbon fibre at the best of times will be 80% a straight fitting. The parts are hand made and resins do run, this means you have to clean up the holes a little (some manufacturers might have someone doing it afterwards but some wouldn't bother. Plastic parts are injected in moulds and they fit perfectly every time but carbon are made using a different process.

Anyhoo, thanks for the read and I hope this post helps a little.

Bel, hi mate. If I had a 675, S3 etc, I would order from you no question. You supply superb customer service and after sales... A massive plus in my book! Sorry to hear you where burnt on parts for the blade, but thanks for your honesty.
    Cheers!, Si.

    Hey Si

Nah don't worry about it. I just learnt a very valuable lesson for the future. It was worth it, lol. We now stick with what we know, our own carbon we sourced the parts for, got moulded and test fitted.

We might not be doing carbon for CBRs but we have signed up with 16 exhaust manufacturers so far (more to come) and others parts suppliers so we might be able to help you with other bits and bobs one day.

Anyhoo thanks for the reply and we'll catch up again!
