I'll be there on Sunday with 2 mates, and will be wearing my red 1000rr t-shirt, so won't be too difficult to spot. Also meeting up with a mate from GixerJunkies I go riding quite a bit with Sent from my BlackBerry 9780 using Tapatalk
Cheers JD and vino!! My pal who I always go with (amongs others) only told me thur he wasn't coming!!
Went today and it was great, very busy and the show was excellent!!! Worth every penny. Managed to pick up some new sidi vortice boots for £220, an arai tinted visor for £40, and a brand new 2012 Showa rear shock for great money too, so for me it was a good day for saving money!!!!
Also went today, not impressed £20-00 + handling for ticket (£16-00 free download at NEC). Only high points, the Honda six being fired up and of course the FIREBLADE display. Some very clean machines on show, the 'Brogie' and pdcava's RRN inparticular. 1300 miles only, how do you manage that? Have you got another one to rag about so you can keep that one so cherrished. Where were all the quality parts dealers, no Harris or Speedycom or Performance Parts etc?
Sorry must have missed the Harris stand, were they doing rearsets for the '08 Blade yet because they haven't for the past couple of years. Demon Tweeks stand was a bit small and Austin Racing have some lovely rearsets but not for the Blade yet.
There's more vendor staff than punters here & the carpark under the Excel was empty at 9:30am Current purchases include Harris flip-up levers & fuel cap. Sent from my BlackBerry 9780 using Tapatalk
Just finished clearing the drive from drifted snow, couldn’t even open the side door this morning. Even if I could get up to the lane its still covered in snow and ice and not a council gritter truck in sight, Only seen one brave soul out there and that was in a 4x4. Bollocks. That’s that then ! sit tight, curl up by the fire and wait it out.
Best option mate. After braving the weather and the road, it was all a bit of a let down. Got the levers I was after (the fuel filler cap was a maveric purchase because they did me a deal on it), but the dealers there were clearly unloading their tat. Most of the gear was end of line, and no one had the waterproof's I went to buy - 3 of the dealers have them on their website, so clearly not interested in selling them. Revolution show was good, but pound for pound, I should have stayed at home as well.
Vino. You have now idea how much better that makes me feel. I have been pissed off all day, wanted to have a look round and at full suit leathers plus meet up with the on line buddies. Another day I guess. Next one is the Peterbough show I think, I have an idea for a major meet up if i can get it sorted out and others are interested. More info later. Thanks mate.
Cheers guys, the bike seemed to be appreciated by a lot of people. Just hope that it gets back to me in one piece as i noticed at the show on friday that it had already picked up a scratch on the tank
