ok, here's my attempt of a write up on what i did. let me know it make sense and if you have any questions

    1. Remove headlight from bike.
I used this video as reference for removing headlight/front fairing
CBR1000RR REPSOL DIY FAIRING AND HEADLIGHT - YouTube

    2. Installing the projectors
I used this video as reference for the headlight disassembly/reassembly
Installation guide for retrofitting mini Bi-Xenon projectors in Motorcycle headlight - YouTube
Leave it in for 3-4 mins, try to separate and if its still a bit tough, put it back in the oven for a min and retry.

Some point to keep in mind,

    a) you’ll need to unscrew the three angle adjustment bolts to remove the reflectors, you’ll need to do this to remove the top reflector bit. Do one side at a time and use the other as a reference for re-installing the reflector or you’ll have all sorts of problems getting the beam level right after.
    b) I re-used the original hi/lo beam connectors taken from the head light unit, so that it would simply plug in to the original loom. So from the kit, I took the three pin plug that would have connected to the original H7 bulb connector, stripped the wires and soldered the kit pos/neg hi beams to the original connector high beams, same for low beams, doubling up the kit wires to the originals.
    c) here’s a useful diagram for the wiring, some tweaks mentioned above is needed to accommodate the left/right hi/low beam setup of the blades
Bi-Xenon HID w/ Rocker install wiring map : Honda CBR 600RR Sportbike Forum : 600RR.Net
    d) I had to find a place to put the two relays, the only place I could find was where the original connectors for the lights went, that was a good amount of space for the two relays. Its at the front of the lens, in-between the two, you’ll know what I mean when you dismantle it all.
    e) I removed the original H7 connector and wire that went inside the light unit on each side, re-used the two small holes and fed the wire that triggers the solenoid for the high bean and connected to the kit wiring.
    f) managed to tidy the wiring up, used cable ties and tucked them in between the two light units.
    g) test the lights after each major steps, easier to go back and fix it than to find out its not working once its all on.

    i'll add more if/when remember.

    Enjoy

    Ballast location

Thought I'd share where I placed both of the ballasts seeing that was by far the hardest part. Had to play around with a few places before I got it right. Hope this helps someone when doing thier's 12.jpg

Cost you less than half that to do it yourself

Great job tgosai, what do you estimate the cost is doing it yourself.

the only thing I worry about them led builds is I use
the same style of leds as moon lights on my reef tank
and after a year they start going dim but then they are
on for eight hours every day.

    Hi tgosai,
Can you confirm please where you bought your kit? I have just read through this thread and am very tempted to try this with my '98 blade but after a bit of feedback on things from those with previous experience first.

    Thanks,

    Gary

Hi, I did a lot of research before hand and what I found was two types of kits available, you can go for an expensive retrofit kit for cars that can fit to bikes light housing (there doesn't seem to be original premium kits for bikes) or you can go for the cheaper version.
Difference being an expensive kit will normally be made somewhere in Europe, say Germany. And a cheap kit tends to come from china.
I've seen the cheap kit on eBay direct from china from about £50 for the pair and others are selling near enough the same but in fancy packaging for £100+.

I went for a direct purchase from china bought from eBay. You get everything you need (projector, bulbs and ballast).

In terms of fitting, I used video on YouTube, very useful. And placing the ballast was the hardest part, I put pics show where I put them.

    Good luck.
