Graham, What sort of time will you be around Edinburgh on Friday 3rd? If you would like and if the weather is good we could do the A7 & St Mary’s Loch road? Would allow you to see more of the area if you have the time. Failing that then I could do one evening the following week when you are still around. Where about on the outskirts are you staying? Only asking as I live outside Edinburgh so it may be close by. Cheers, Danny
Timings depend on what time Of finish work on Friday will be exiting m6. J44 A7 Peebles. A703 Penicuik Staying at a home stay in Milton Bridge Then 2 nights at salutation hotel in Kinross haven't booked anything from the Sunday
The place you will be staying is not far from the A7 road I suggested. Really depends on the time you make it to Edinburgh I guess as the A7 – A703 (St Mary’s Loch road) takes a while to do. You will have been on the bike for a while as well so it might be better to do it another day. Anyway let me know as I will be free Friday evening, Monday evening and Tuesday evening after work. Cheers, Danny
Up to Ballachulish then down then down the A828 to Oban. A816 to Lochgilphead then back to lochlomand over the Military race track.
I have a bike trip to attend with lads from my work over the Noth and down the west coast. As it stands just now we have not organised a date but will be staying overnight up North West. If it is not the same Date I will meet in with you all at Crieff.
Sorry to be a let down guys but I had an accident on the bike at the weekend so it’s looking unlikely that I will make the 18th. I’m going to get straight to work replacing parts so I might still be able to make it. Just depends on how quickly the parts arrive. I will keep everyone updated however if I cannot make it then please continue and I will head up to Knockhill in the car to meet everyone anyway before the ride. Hopefully I can get it fixed but as I said its looking unlikely that it will be in time. Cheers
Sorry hear that Dan hope your ok mate! Don't worry about letting anyone down mate as I think this wee ride will be one of many I'll catch up with you at Knockers
Yep, as HRCTrev09 says, hope yer ok and hope the bike can be fixed easily. No worries about not making it and you're in no way letting us down. Catch up on the next ride Chris
Cheers guys. The bike is stripped now just waiting on parts. Been in contact with a guy on here who has a couple of bits for sale so hopefully I can buy those which would be a massive help. Will keep everyone updated. See you all at Knockhill.
Was looking about for blades at Knockhill today. Had the wee fella on the back so was taking it slow-ish. Weather stayed dry too other than a small bit on the way through.
I was there mate but took the car! I'm still working on the Blade what with new tyres, stripping the brakes down in preparation for this Friday's trip down south! But I will be there tomorrow on my wee CB1 parked next to my mate's 899 Panigale
Gents, Been looking at tomorrow's weather forecast and it's not looking too good! I'm not really into going out intentionally in the rain (don't mind so much getting caught in it) so, unless it miraculously does a u turn (It's Scotland, you never know!!), I think I'd rather postpone to another day. Don't let me stop anyone else though any thought from your end?? Chris
Well as you know I wont be able to make it on the bike anyway unfortunatly. I will still be going up in the car though if people are going to be there. I only need lights and fairings now and i will be back on the road. If Saturday doesnt go ahead then we need to re schedule because it would be good to get a meet up this way. What are people thinking?
Well I'm free over the next 2 weeks haha but the weather is pishin doon. I don't mind the rain though.
Sorry bud, I would be keen for something as I finish up at work for holiday soon but I am still waiting on fairings and headlights to arrive. as soon as the bike is back in working order I will post here and see who is free.
was oot today over the military road to Faslane. Can't believe how good that road is. Picked a vid of YouTube of the Garelochead to Arrocher road if wheelies and jumps is yer bag this is the road for you. Sorry it's in a truck Military road
That Arrochar to Garelochhead is like a flippin' rollercoaster. Not a fan of that road. The military road is quite good though, when you don't have the Subaru's running on it. I haven't even looked at my bike since I came back from holiday last week. Probably because of work and the weather being shite. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow will be decent enough for a wee spin.
