very true. McGuinness used to race with cABS on his leathers but we all know he wouldn't of even ridden a road bike with that system on.
He rocked up at Devils bridge one morning on that bike and got the piss taken out of him for his strips, he saw the funny side and to be fair to him it was new and wet roads . He'd still be quicker than us with strips Pulled a cracking wheelie on his way out
Smaller sprocket on the front and larger sprocket on the rear will both shorten the gearing, so you will be at a higher rpm for a given speed in a given gear than stock. Usually gearing is shortened to improve acceleration, at the expense of top speed. The shorter the gear, the higher the torque, but lower power. Both changes from stock will affect the speedo in the same direction, so it will read too high.
Much prefer standard gearing for the road. Find 15-44 makes everything a bit too revvy. It's great on the track though.
