Hi @cronester . Can I pick your brains on the Helibars fitting? In the instructions it says to remove the circlips from the forks but doesn't say anything about reinstalling them. What did you do?
Hi @Weejockie,The circlips are not used with the helibars as I think the fork clamp is deeper and covers the circlip groove anyway.
I went down the custom seat route @Weejockie, works well for me. Here's a link to what I had done and a picture of the outcome. https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/bootleg-bike-seats-preston.31527/
That does look nice, @CharlieR85. I am going to do the same. Just bought a 2nd hand seat so was planning to post shortly to Sussex Motorcycles. They do the same thing and a bit closer to me (not much!). Anyone have any experience of them?
I bought some cheap bar riser/clipons off ebay for my R1 then when I was happy with the position I drilled and pinned to be safe, they made so much difference, I think I paid about £50 at the time
Hi @CBR mark. Probably best to check with Helibars in USA re 2023 model. https://www.helibars.com/shop-by-bike/honda/honda-cbr1000rr/ Their website says not designed for SP but no problem on earlier model.
I have a couple of sets of abm multiclip bars on bikes, they’re adjustable in every direction and you can adjust the angle of the tubes as well, very well made kit, I had mine from here. https://www.bikermart.co.uk/ABM-Multiclip-Tour-Clip-On-Adjustable-Sportsbike-Clip-On-Set
