12 bore or nothing mate, I'm shooting against the world champion tomorrow.Last time we met he beat me by 4 clays, the time before I and 2 fellow shooters sent him home with no winnings.Gotta keep him on his toes LOL.
Not hitting what you're shooting or cartridges jamming? Like anything hobby wise the more you practice the better you get.I've been shooting 9 years, shot ok for the first 4 years going through the C to A classes then had a tuition day with a former champion to break habits and move on.Today when I'm on it, I can shoot very well.Money is now spent on bikes more than shooting. One round of clays =2-3 hrs on the bike.Bike wins always.
Me mate, I shoot mostly game and vermin in woodland etc, my benelli mancino has never miss fired in thousands of shots! unlike me just when I offer to take the trap up my old mans field and have a shoot with some mates I seem unless lol
At least a club hammer is quick.. Many years ago a friend of mine knocked on my door wanting to borrow something, He had his finger wrapped up in a hanky with insulation tape round it, the old makeshift garage plaster... My wife at the time had come out to say hi to him and of course asked about the blood covered hanky... This guy used to re wind magneto's, by hand and was quite adept at making stuff out of junk, he explained that he had been attempting to drill something fairly small and had been holding it between finger and thumb when the drill slipped and drilled from the finger tip right up the centre to the first joint. The sound of the ex wife hitting the floor as she fainted was quite funny and taught her not to ask stupid questions in the future. He was quite unfazed by the drilled finger and adamant that no medical attention was warranted as it "wasn't the first time he had done it" !! Nice chap but slightly eccentric... Hope your thumb heals quick sideways
Well its healing and starting to settle down.It has been weeping under pressure out of the right side of the nail all week. Went out on bike for an hour and she held out well.I had to use different gloves cos the thumb won't fit in my Spidi gloves without putting pressure on the nail.Hopefully at this rate it will heal quickly so I can get some ride time in before venturing out on longer runs.
I am sure we used to drill a little hole in the nail to release pressure but that might have been in my'' man dayz.''
Aye your right heat a paper clip up in Bunsen burner straight thru nail bed instant relief ,being there but nail drops off
