Just seen this. Sorry to hear about it, Si. It's sh*te seeing such a minter as yours all scratched up but you're spot on right. Plastics and pieces can be replaced and mended. Your body's the most important thing (no homo). You'll mend and so will the bike. Glad you're OK(ish).

Ibuprofen for the pain and swelling and perhaps a lengthy sponge bath from the missus (yours...not mine).

Yeah coz yours is cr*p Rich pmsl.

I once had a mate who was airlifted from Staggs Fell (Hawes) after a paragliding accident and after the initial pain was thrilled with his black swollen groin. His only disappointment (and his wife's) was its returning to normal :)

I've noticed a lot of roads being resurfaced recently with this stuff. Quite frankly for bikers its dangerous at best. Expecting four wheeled vehicles to compact the surface is one thing but there appears to be no consideration given to bikers at all.......no change there then!!!

Gutted for you Si. I really am. As previously commented - you're okay and that's the main thing. The bike can be fixed and I'm sure you'll have her back and looking her best in no time at all. Take it easy mate.

Start necking co-codamol for fun, Si. A pair of 500/30's makes everything soft focus. Get on it!

Glad you are okay Si; never a nice thing to happen or hear about.

Hope the bike fixes up okay & your arm is soon on the mend.

You should keep the leathers; they will make you proper "ard".

This is an excuse to buy that HRC tank cover.

Hope your out and about soon si, I saw them doing that surface last week when I came down the pass, it's meant to be extra grippy, I came down today on the blade and it was shit, it feels slippery. The old surface was better for grip.

    Hello Si,
I`m still here in Ozzzzz missing the biking :(

Just seen your post........................to say i`m gutted is an under statement :(
I`m really sorry to see your gorgeous bike going down the road, i`d be sick for a month mate.

More importantly i`m more interested to hear that you are ok and it`s more cosmetic than medical.

I have standard levers and exhaust at home if you want them ? until you get the bling back on.

I`m sure you will have plenty of support on the forum, nice one Giv for being there ! top bloke !

Hope all will be well soon............Cheers mate.

    Best wishes Jon.
