Some dealers do not seem to bother with the punch mark.
eg, I have proof that my clutch has been updated, but no punch mark on the actuator.

I had mine done at Pidcocks in Nottingham, the only dealer in my area that had any interest in helping out! They had to send a sound clip to Honda of the noise. As soon as it was confirmed, about 3 days later they booked me in and I had it back in no time. From start to finish (they picked the bike up from me and delivered it back when done) was only a little over 2 weeks. Had a problem with a lose connection, so they had the bike back again briefly, but I can't praise them enough! Had the crank and the clutch basket done, and they even replaced the battery under warranty.
When you consider that my 'local' dealer that identified the possible issue, when programming a spare key for me, wanted the charge me at least 2 days labour to find out what the problem was!!
Pidcocks were great. Kept me up to date with everything as it was being done: parts ordered, parts arrived etc. Needless to say where my bike will be going for all its servicing etc!
