Good question but yes I watched the mechanic pay particular attention to this. As has been noted the braking is very likely to be sufficient for the type of use it would get on a track. I like the very occasional hooning about stamp and slide and it's an odd feeling losing that. Rearsets are a bit about reprogramming the brain particularly after so long with a standard set- up. I think I will get used to these. It was a shame cos there was a lad with Diamonds on a Gixer at the workshop but he left ten mins before I got to take it out for a try or I would have asked him too. His only comment was that they were a puzzle to fit but he liked them well enough. Cheers. Gary

Can't get to fit well..... are not as adjustable as they should be (foot peg bolt hitting part that attaches to exhaust hanger)... to drunk to go on without sounding...... well to drunk....

Will post soon.... off to rebuild bike.... or have another drink...... or fall asleep...... (defiantly not go for a ride)

There are 2 bronze looking spacers used to prevent that from interfering, did you fit them?

Diamond Rearset and Sato Racing rearset looks very identical. Why is that?

I was about to order a set of these and after reading this entire thread I have very torn! I'm in Sydney so if it's missing parts etc it's going to be a huge pain in the arse

I've got the older design and they weren't rocket science to fit...and they're still going strong :)

We picked up a set of the supposedly new design rear sets for our track bike and tbh I would rather buy from a company called area22 they are based in Ireland but sell the so called copies of diamonds rear sets but with a different name etched into the heel guard.

Tbh the new sets that both area22 and diamond look to be imports from China, they have black with red accents and tbh are pretty well made.

I am pretty sure diamond are talking piss when they say this is their all new design and someone else copied them almost as soon as they hit the market. The reason I say this is that the product both companies sell albeit diamond add another forty quid onto their total is the fact everything is identical on both sets the machining (etching varies as said) but everything right down to the bolts, they include a mix of black and silver bolts and both use exactly same ones, same springs the lot!
The foot pegs that diamond make and sell are completely different to the pegs fitted to these rear sets and if they did in fact make them why not use your off the shelf pegs instead of altering the cnc machine code to make a completely different set of pegs just for one set of rear sets but still sell original more basic looking pegs off the shelf!

Not just me then that thought that ... Good to know.

Ironically Area22 have increased the price of their rearsets now by another £30...

You can buy direct from China for £102...

Just picked up some of the old design Diamonds for a good price - brand new... of course I have bolts missing! :D

Thankfully won't be too difficult to sort out as the important ones are there...
