I'll definitely be trading up........ I'm certainly not paying 11 grand for a three year old bike when my term is up! ;)

New blade will probably be out by the end of your 3 year term too.

There's another video from Bennetts. I still can't see past that front end.

I'm with you @CharlieR85 on that. They could have made it a lot more trick and aggressive looking. Looks cheap...too retro and a bit like a cartoon beetles head.

As it isn't Euro 5 ready I am wondering if they might bring out a brand new Daytona, especially as the Triumph bloke virtually said this is an old Daytona chassis with new engine and bling exhaust/suspension. Not saying that is a bad thing as the chassis is tried and tested, but not something to rebuild the 600-750 sportsbike market.

Sounded to me like he was saying this is the last ever Daytona. Maybe that means the name will be retired regardless of any new sportsbike.

@nigelrb what are the numbers Nigel, I'm getting confused. Is it 765 for Europe and Asia and 765 for America? Or just 765 total?

That would mean I have to sell the S1000RR and I can't do it yet..lol. It barely has 500 miles on!

Just to add a few things..
Bike revs to around 14000 rpm, stock Arrow can sounds pretty nice. TFT dash is clear and bright with a Moto start up logo. Riding position feels more forward than my Blade.. No option for led headlights, and exactly what performance options will be available are still tbd.

On reflection, would I be happy to pay £15765 for one? Hmm - hell yeah!

Paint looked great and fairings felt solid from my quick poke at them. Tank was nicely sculpted to fit my knees around. Switch gear (indicator button, mode select joystick, etc) was not as solid as on my blade but probably also because they’re differently shaped to the blade”s.

Its because it's all switches onto PCBs, they don't feel as nice as a switch onto contacts.

Sorry to you lads that love it and are putting your money down for it, but looks like the emperors new clothes to me!

Nose looks worse than the standard Daytona and and to me isn’t special looking enough, take away the silver Union Jack on the side and all you have is the 765 street triple with added side fairings, bit like Suzuki did with the sv650 a few years back

I know what you mean, it doesn't grab me immediately but I have the feeling it will grow on me. Not that I will ever own/ride one.

Good thing about bikes is that we all like different ones, heck some even prefer the 08+ blade over the rr6/7 ;)
