I paid exactly the same as you mate and also passed last year, try getting it nicked!! Noone else would touch me for insurance but the existing company for a new bike and they doubled it. So I paid 700quid for 5months insurance then received a lowered payout due to hidden excess then got stung with over £1400 for a year on a RR9.....

Bad times mate, i doubt my bike will get nicked were i live [crime rate is very low].....but i im thinking of trading in the blade as im not getting used to the riding position, have done 200 miles since i bought it and my body hurts when im out on it.....thinking of getting a new busa, been on one and find it a lot comfy compared to the blade, but insurance is £1,450  Will have to do some number crunching and decide what to do.

I think we should be careful about saying what we are doing or not doing, regarding mods and insurance, you don't know who,s browsing the forums.

Nothing wrong with the bike...cant fault it at all; stupidly fast and light and sounds awesome....it just me i guess...seating is very "radical" to anything that i have ridden in the past, so im finding it hard to get used to or maybe im too old for this! lol. When i test rode it, it felt fine but then again i hadn't been on a bike for a while and adrenaline rush probably masked any pains i was having.

But i have a few injuries and im finding they get aggravated when im on my blade, compared to the bike i learned on [fazer 600]....will see, keep on riding until winter hits and decide what to do then :)
