So today I passed my ACU licence and can now race if my exams had been as easy at school I would be a brain surgeon now .I have joined no limits racing and am currently looking for sponsers to pay all my costs ..:D

Just waiting on them to release dates etc.

I plan to do the endurance racing with 2 others and maybe solo racing and looking at previous times around oulton park we shouldn't come last there .

I need to complete 10 race meets at 3 different tracks on my race card then move from novice to inters while in novice I need to wear an orange vest. As no limits are only doing 7 races would need to do 3 more maybe in Wirral 100 if I wanted to get a inters licence .

So now the hard part to get fit over winter .

Nice one Jason! Am made up for you. Wirral 100 are a good club to join and the meetings are well attended. for the first year, just focus on getting rid of your orange bib. I took totally the wrong approach and went all out to get to the front of the grid. managed it for the first meeting , but crashed in the second big time. track time at a race is very different from track time at a trackday, but in a very good way. Just use it as a learning experience and get your signatures done.

Cheers Robin they showed a video of the various ways that a race can be started with all the bikes on the grid and I think everyone in the room was buzzing as it gave you a view as if you were one of the riders on the grid .The adrenalin at that point must take some getting used to as I think I would wet my pants with excitement . :D

The start is the most awesome bit! I will be totally and utterly honest and say that my first start was one of the most nerve wracking things I have ever done, but it is just such a buzz. You can't beat being about midfield with a full grid and fighting for a first corner. Looks scary on tv but in real life it is fookin epic!! You will love it. If you get to Anglesey next year, let me know as I can get you in a garage with the rest of our lot, means you only pay £10 for the weekend for the garage then. Good on you for doing it and keep us posted!

Oh don't worry be still doing plenty of trackdays as will need the practice was chatting to a lad I know at Oulton today who has just bought the unlimited trackdays with no limits for £2500,but he does own a bmw hp4 road bike and a bmws1000rr trackbike so got a few quid .

He made me laugh as to justify spending that much he has give up smoking as he said the saving will more than pay the £2500 he spent , the things we do to ride motorbikes .:D
