You must of had a bad one, never had any problems at all with any of the ones I've owned. Bet that was one good day out, what bikes are all about.
Mine was the rec/reg unit and a dead short in the ignition. Was a great day out but it was a bit intimidating as the others In the group were very wealthy people and as I counted thw pennys For petrol they were throwing down a few grand on carbon wheels And new slipper clutches. Suppose it takes a few quid the pay the Servicing, the reason I don't own one now lol..
Never get intimidated by others, no one is better than you and you are are not better than no one. Shame you don't own one seeing as you obviously like them so much, but you never know let's hope one day you will.
You should have heard my 1098R with full race Termis, race pistons and RS cams, sounded like nothing else. Having 200bhp and enormous torque it would eat a Blade for breakfast.
I do love them but I couldnt justify owning one atm...not on NHS wages anyway lol want to try a new R1, mv augusta and a RSV4.I like to change bikes every couple of years to try all sorts. friend of mine races a panigale but in an odd twist he was letting me hear it and I thought it was loud then a mate of his pulled up on his road version and it was even louder with what looked like a stock system, dont know how that worked lol
Sounds like you need a job with one of Ducati's race teams Bikeracer1098 as they can't seem to get their bikes to eat Blade's?
Better to ask for the D16RR mate, if your going to aim high lol (I've had a go on the Desmo....awesome!) Seems by this Richard your Desmo was still king too! Not sure against the big FAT "R" you had, high comp pistons defo UP the game! Motorcycle Performance Numbers & Street Bike Quarter Mile Times at Sport Rider Oh and some flow work and a remap plus full system takes a stock desmo from its 174bhp over 200bhp at the wheel!!! and too think it pulls a quick quater from out the box!
