Ha it's just arrived today :D fit it tomorrow while trying to avoid rain as my garage is full and my bike is just inside the door. I was expecting to gain 20bhp+ by removing the stock plastic monstrosity

No 2 chain guards are the same, they all produce different gains. hopefully colin has given you a good 1 then you might see a 20bhp gain

    lets face it.....

I think this thread is pretty much useless because everybody was on a different dyno, different temperature, humidity etc. etc.
That's the main reason that some guys got a dream result and others were disappointed, including myself.

    - the first picture shows the result after installing the HM SH Plus Quickshifter, Acra Slip on without DB Killer

Result: Max Power Rear 162.23 Torque 79.75

    - the second picture shows the result having add the PV5 + custom map and the K & N Air filter

Result: Max Power Rear 163.80 Torque 79.60

Pretty disappointing for me because I expected at least 5+ hp more with all the effort.

That might be the only place to get a correct map and result.
It's like going to the dentist, you have to trust them.

Final power figures are nothing to go by, but the curve is always good to see.

You can't say one is better than the other, there are 3 or 4 that are known to be bang on the Dyno test rig figures, usually the best ones are those that do engine work aswell, so your looking at JT's performance centre (who do half the BSB Paddock, including all the triumphs and WFR motors) Wrathalls, he has spent a lot more time on the Dyno since Birdys lot moved out. BSD who are simply awesome, they are my primary 3, and personally Trig from JT's is the ONLY
Man I trust to do work whilst I'm not there.

As for mine. I'll try and pull the sheets from email but they were..

    178BHP
    79 lb/ft
Air fuel variance of max +1 -2 throughout the range

why my blade feels great after my dyno run. I don't care what BHP mine gives but having something that feels good to ride. and it made a hell of a difference to my bike getting it set up correct

as said dyno's will all give different results. having my kit car set up at castle motors by castle combe gave me 160BHP from my tuned 1.8 zetec and was mapped for max power not running smooth as i wanted. were as I went to a place down in Devon which is rated highly by all that go there imcluding me and gave 15bhp less. but I was happy that the car ran smooth

Its not really down on TQ, certainly not compared to genuine results from other 07's, a lot of other results are smoothed and/or set up to look good, yes its slightly down on what a full blown superbike motor would be TQ wise, but for a half way house its a good figure, given Brogie only had 74 lb/ft to play with and it was peaky as hell,The Big power comes from the Cams fitted, id gain TQ (and power) running a full blown superbike bottom end, the current motor has more and a lot smoother than in its original (brogie) form, also, as has been said, its your curve that really matters, and mines lovely and smooth, no holes in the range, all the way to the top, and the Air/Fuel variance is spot on, testimant to the Head work and velocity stacks according to Trig.
