Flare Isolates for me; https://www.flareaudio.com/collections/earplugs-1/products/isolate-mini Used them for years and just buy another pack of foams every year. When you find the right size ear foams the sound isolation is the best I've tried. The Mrs knows that once the earplugs are in pre the lid going on I can't hear her.
+1 for Flare Isolates. I used original Isolates but were a bit big for my small ears, When I lost them I bought the Isolate Minis - perfect! Reduce noise while still enabling you to hear the outside (safer?), exhaust/run-off burble, music from intercom...nice
I was about to put my earplugs in, so warned Mrs B&W that I won't be able to hear her. "OK, bye c**t" came the reply.
