Rob came back on the forum briefly but failed to appoint any new admin/moderator so we are stuck as we are

How does this work then. Does Rob have to relinquish authority before anyone else can take over or what?

No, Rob set up the forum so is top of the hierarchy. He can appoint administrators, moderators or staff (whatever the terminology for this forum is) below him with I assume varying levels of authority to block or delete individual posts, threads or members.

The issue is that the last such member was last on a long time ago (maybe 18 months or more) and Rob isn’t active on this forum.

In the summer I managed to get a message to him via the admin of the Triumph forum I’m on (and that Rob also started). He came on here and asked who would be interested to be an admin, but he’s not been back on since. I’ve asked the triumph guy to message him again but that’s as much as I can do.

I understand from others that Rob is active on the Ducati forum so anyone who is on that one feel free to try and get him to come back here and sort things out.

Thanks for the explanation Boothman. It's a shame we are all tied to someone else's lack of interest.

He gets revenue from the ads and explains why he's created multiple brand forums so he's unlikely to give it up i think!!

Pretty clever business sense from his side of things but does feel like the forums been left to run itself a bit
