Take the Fireblade, you won't regret! On RR4 model I used Renntec rack and Kriega luggage. You can easliy pack for a week in US20 + 2x US10. On my current RR9 model I used Kriega (US20 +2xUS10) fitted direcly to the sub-frame (under the rear seat). To protect the paint around the rear seat, I used a transparent protection tape (3M), which works great: you can hardly see the tape (even from very close) and I never had a sigle scratch. I do recommend the R3 waistpack: I had my passport, bikes papers, credit cards/cash, camera, Xena XX-14 disclock, all safe and waterproof. As you can read in Touring section, I might be travelling with pillion this year, so I'll go for Renntec rack, US20+ 2xUS10, on it. Plus Kriega tankpad (US10) and waistpack of course
Not unreasonable, especially when you consider the wear and tear plus mileage that you would not be subjecting the Blade to.
That's the same Ventura set-up I've got, going to get a Givi tanklock bag too, is that a 307? Cheers in advance ! Sorry for hijack x
thanks for this...we have booked our 5 Bikes today..heading out on the 21st August...had lready booked train tickets.. flying just seems like a better option
I like to look after things as well, going to Mugello Motogp end of the month and thought about buying a cheap Chinese set of panels to use for the trip. But I then thought the reason I got a Repsol blade is because I like the colours, I've just put venture sheild full kit on it today and if it gets marks n stone chips it's just tough, it's not an orniment it's to used and shown off. Use it, enjoy it, go play, better to regret something you have done than something you haven't !! And on European roads has to be the place to be.
