Well I am not fast as you mate lol, my best at Donington is just 1.55 on my rosso 2 daul compound tyres, I do need some stickier rubber for next year and may try corsa or even supercorsa, however So far though I do 7500 miles a year on road and only about 5 track days, so it needs to be a compromise unless I either buy a track bike (to expensive for now) or buy 4 more wheels for slicks or D212 and wets? Time Will tell as this is my first track year and the bug has bitten lol
Same mate my first year too, I'm gonna have got 10 tradkdays in by the end of the season so that's not bad going I think. I use supercorsa's and racetechs, give em a go!
It may be worth while having a look at scrubbed tyres, as you can save a bundle. i pay about £100 a pair and get 2 race meetings out of them. Most trackdays will have a tyre guy on site and he will usually have some available. I run Racetechs or Supercorsas and they are both great tyres. Continental have just released a new Race Attack tyre which a friend runs and he rates them, so keep an eye out for these too.
