I have to admit I do prefer the tone rather than the loudness. The R77 I used to have actually got a little annoying even with earplugs. From the other side of the fence I was at Cheddar Gorge last year and the constant noise of loud exhaust spoilt the day though this was mainly due to Groms!. The best tone for me is either the road going version of the akra or simply the flapper disconnected from the stock.
Yes its because your link pipe is slightly different to mine. I think the end can is identical though.
