Or, it could be some tos*er on a trackway who runs out of ability, wipes you out and given you can't trust some idiots on trackdays anymore (having broken both your ulna and radius) you decide to reinvent your Blade as a street fighter for the road. Keep an open mind man, we're all on two wheels. Incidentally, a naked Blade is at least 40lbs lighter than a faired Blade and turns a lot quicker. Check out attached and educate yourself fella

You're right, thanks, but some prejudices are timeless! It is a good article though.

Dan doesn't come on anymore but was the nicest bloke you ever met. Don't think he was being prejudice....

I think he was just saying that traditionally street fighters were made from bikes that guys had crashed.... Which is kinda true isn't it.... Obviously not in every case of course, and although it sounds like it wasn't your fault.... It was crashed and now being made a street fighter.

Anyway. Hope your rebuild goes well and arm mends ok buddy.

Thanks very much. I'm sure he was and had he been still active we could have had some fun. I think it was the word "boys" (I'm 58) and "can't afford the plastics" which ruffled my feathers a tad. But, no worries, like I say, we're all on two wheels and dare I say, I even respect Harley riders!! Or is that just TOO much!!! :)

I've got a 1994 blade not been in a smash and I'm turning it in to a streetfighter, one I'm enjoying building it
And learning more about the bike and making mistakes on the way plus it gives me the best of both worlds
    Between this and my rr5.

Biggest issue seems to be relocation of electrics and vacuum unit. Fuses can maybe go under rear seat and ecm may fit in recess of a RR6/7 airbox top (will fit RR4 box bottom).
