Hehe.... Cheers for puttin the hood in..the wind was choking me mate.i had to stop on the m58 too...lee had to tuck it in too. The hood has now been cut off.
Yup had a good day and also nice to meet you all. I think some of the roads and bends on the run would be hard to discribe but imagine the small 20mm size round stones you would have on a pathway if you then get a few wheelbarrows full and then tip on every bend for miles in the rain even fast bends then you are halfway there the rest of the roads had been recently dressed with chippings (Nice). Special thanks to The Firebloke (who is not a fireman) for leading the pack fast safe and clean and also to young Fez for not only the suggestion but also like all the crew for turning out. Naa, you don't. I like them Rich... In fact, the pampers flap is very handy for hot days. Which ones are they mate??
It was rather a good pace And I agree. Firebloke did a great job. I did have a nervous giggle though. When we did the Caton to Ribble Head and stopped for a photo. He said. Right. We can up the pace a bit from here. I'm like WTF But well done to one and all. As previously said. Very challenging conditions at times. Up yours mother Nature. 1000rr fireblades rule
Yeah the pampers flap looks a bit daft when you've got it hanging open but it's really nice that it opens the whole front of the leathers and lets the air in. They're Dainese Bora, mate. I bought them second hand off fleabay. The previous owner had a low-speed off in them but all it did was lightly scuff the forearms and the liner got a bit torn but I just bought this Tarrago leather dye stuff and sorted out the scuffs and sewed a new portion of liner in. Good as new.
Hear, hear! Very gratifying to see that we all got through the crap conditions without any mishaps. And yes, Fireblade's do rule. I wouldn't have fancied those roads on my R6. Also, I continue to be impressed with the Metzeler M3s I've got. They seem to have all the dry road grip I'll ever need and they felt very planted when we were riding through the monsoon. Cheap too.
