I saw the gary-b overtaking Very good vid again Gary, your getting good at this mate although I'm not sure about the Laps Jimbo that was some fecking awesome riding mate, seriously quick imo especially for a first time out on that circuit, something to aspire too....
Awesome Gary. Nice one dude really appreciate doing that thanks. Matt - you'll be up to speed in no time buddy. Doesn't take long, and a track bike helps big time.
No problem what so ever James, Muffking & I only provided the mount & camera between us, it was you who provided the entertainment. Pillion with Jimbo Vills? Its ok, I'll walk thanks
that was awesome mate. Jimbo is one quick rider... Respect. And Gary, you're getting loads quicker dude....big up to you too dude.
Hope your not referring to the bit when the bike passes Jimbo That was just my piss take for ther 'off camera' antics
I would love to do a track day, but for a few concerns. 1. Terrified of getting caught up by someone else pushing too much. 2. More experienced track day goers hazing the novice. 3. Not wanting to take my road bike on track. 4. Track manoeuvres. Coming up to a slower rider, or being the slower rider and what is best to do. Do they give instruction ? I know we all watch racing, and likely can tell what to do and not to do, but is that as easy when on the circuit ? 5. Would prefer a one on one tuition. Anywhere that does this ? I realise this may all sound a bit silly, but it is all things that have crossed my mind.
Ron Haslam School for you my friend. Not 1 on 1 tuition but 2 to 1. Not as expensive as you'd think and you leave with far more confidence.
British Superbike School It's close to me and I have a field you can camp in if you want. I'm doing all the days this year so could show you the way there. At most 3 riders per instructor, and overtaking is more controlled/restricted than a normal trackday.
Or even better, book your track day and then speak to an instructor and ask him to explain everything and take you around until your comfortable, thats what they are there for and at no extra cost.
