The SR 71 just points at all other aircraft and laughs like Brian Blessed. Except, of course, for one... Just some of you younger guys missed out on it.
if it was it left service in 1970, the project started in the 50's and off the top of my head started after the v2 rockets etc.. and it all finished ( well this project) 7 years before I was born
Yep, the good old X 15. Retired in '68 after 199 flights. One of it's pilots, geezer called Armstrong moved onto other things, can't remember what. Not technically an aircraft in the sense of the incredible Beale Blackbird, or Habu (coincidentally my old gamer tag), but the only thing short of the space shuttle that could have made an SR 71 pilot scream "What thef uck was that!" Unless you believe in Project Aurora that is Please don't tell Freedom I've brought up another conspiracy theory.
lmfao!!!!!! Hhahahahahahahahahahaha!!! I am pissing myself laughing in bed here, the missus is going off her tits.... Lmao.
Aurora was the B2 project, head of skunk works admitted it ages ago but they are working on new scramjet ideas like the x51.I knew a fella that was the machine calibrator for skunkworks. He was telling me some of the security they had in place and it was mental.Funny enough there was a program on discovery about UFO's the other night and they were saying there was no orders or new plans for aircraft but the skunkworks was flat out busy and what was going on, little did they know it was the x32 strike fighter. whatever plane they introduce they have usually had it at least 10 years previous, why do you think there was so many triangular UFO's in the 70's but you hardly hear of any since the F117-a was released, because people can identify it now.
