The original budget "leak" that referred to Aurora was more pertinent to the fly-off of stealth bombers that led to the B-2. I'd like to see the other contenders though. Remember, the loser of the fly-off that gave us the F-16 became the F-18 and 35 years on the Hornet still hasn't reached it's development peak and how many F 35's can the Navy afford to replace them? Oh for just one day with a "kiss my ass" pass in the dark corners of Lockheed...
Me too but very rare for a non American to get access belive it or not. That's how secretive they are
I've asked Jeanette for Kelly Johnsons biography on several occasions. Chances are I'll end up with Kelly Brook's.
whats your take on the ben rich statement about how far on we are with space tech...ravings of a mad man on his deathbed maybe?
He lived a long time in a huge shadow. That's got to affect how a man approaches his legacy, but yes, I think he was raving come the end. If there had been a bit more inference rather than blatant ranting about star drives I may have paid it a bit more creedence. I think don't it's coloured the heritage from what Lockheed did actually achieve but I think that's because Rich was always more of a footnote to everything Johnson did. Probably this has more to do with what he said than the dead aliens in the freezer at Wright Patterson.
Came across this today via facebook. I think it's fricking brilliant !!! Cant embed it for some reason though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=3IDyNesztHQ
